Made from 100% cotton and woven in the USA in collaboration with a small, independent company specialising in jacquard-woven blankets, each blanket is made with care and attention to the intricate details of the design.
Measuring 54 × 40 inches, it makes a wonderful decorative piece for your home, cosy throw, or unique gift for lovers of medieval imagery, folklore and illustration.
The design is jacquard woven, rather than printed, meaning the artwork is created directly through the weaving process. This gives the blanket a beautiful textured quality and allows the illustration to become part of the fabric itself.
Please note: due to the nature of jacquard weaving, the reverse side of the blanket will always show an inverted version of the front design. For this particular design, this means the colours appear reversed on the back, including the prominent blue colouring. This is an inherent characteristic of the weaving technique and is part of what makes jacquard textiles so distinctive.
Each blanket is woven especially for my collection, bringing my original illustrations into a traditional textile format with a wonderfully old-world, medieval feel.
